Logging an activity

Most activities land automatically: AICA-captured calls, inbound emails, WhatsApp threads, calendar events. Manual logging is the escape hatch for in-person meetings, hallway conversations, and internal notes.

Steps

  1. Click Log activity on an account, contact, or opportunity. The links pre-fill from where you started.
  2. Pick a type — note, meeting, demo, or one of the comms types.
  3. If it’s a comms type, pick a direction: inbound, outbound, or internal.
  4. Fill subject and summary. Add a body if you have detail to keep.
  5. Set the time the activity actually happened. Defaults to now — set it back if you’re logging something from yesterday.
  6. Save.

What manual logs are NOT for

Typing in what was already on a call AICA captured. If you’re re-typing summary text from a transcript the CRM already has, something in the auto-capture pipeline isn’t configured — talk to your tenant admin about turning AICA ingestion on.
